Responsible for the Safety and quality within the practice of radiation oncology. Helps other members of the radiation staff to design treatment plans that limits exposing patients to excessively high or frequent doses of radiation. Physicist is also responsible for maintaining radiation safety standards to protect the staff who work in the oncology department, and for checking the equipment continuously to ensure the correct dose of radiation is being used.
Our Radiation department has one Varian TrueBeam with Brainlab capability for SRS and SBRT treatments and Varian varisource HDR equipment.
