Medical Physics: Radiation Oncology, Medical Physics: Radiation Oncology Dosimetry, Medical Physics: Radiological Physics - General
Concord Hospital is currently seeking a Physicist to join our team of Physics Group of the Radiation Oncology Department at the Payson Center for Cancer Care at Concord Hospital. You will join a team of 2 dosimetrists and a Chief Physicist. Our investment in the latest equipment and technology, recruitment of highly trained medical professionals, and development of extensive oncology support services, allow us to keep our comprehensive and personalized approach to cancer care at the heart of what we do.
Essential Duties include:
Performs acceptance testing and commissioning of new equipment, performing weekly, monthly and annual tests on linear accelerators (1 TrueBeam, 1 Clinac) treatment planning software (Eclipse) and brachytherapy equipment in accordance with AAPM standards.
Consults with physicians and dosimetrists regarding SRS, SBRT, 3D, IMRT, IGRT, patient external beam and brachytherapy treatment plan alternates, and discusses probable procedures with physicians.
Demonstrates expertise in teaching all tasks required by the physics/dosimetry department to the dosimetry staff.
Provides troubleshooting input and minor maintenance on all radiation therapy equipment.
