Tacoma/Valley Radiation Oncology Center, a free-standing Radiation Oncology facility, is seeking a qualified entry-level Radiation Therapy Physicist who has graduated from a CAMPEP Program with a masters or PhD. The qualified candidate will be responsible for: Supporting the Physics Department, all aspects of quality assurance, chart checks, supervision of treatment planning and IMRT QA and Machine QA.
Facility & Equipment: Tacoma/Valley Radiation Oncology Center consists of four leading edge, free-standing centers. We offer professional physics and dosimetry services to a contracted site. We currently offer IGRT, IMRT, SBRT, HDR, Gamma Knife. Each center treats approximately 25-40 patients per day. Equipment includes; Varian TrueBeam two Varian IX linear accelerators with OBI, two Varian 21-EX with OBI, and Elekta Synergy. Simulations are carried out on GE, Phillips and Toshiba CT scanners. We utilize Pinnacle Treatment Planning System, Oncentra Brachytherapy for HDR, Mosaiq R&V. We have recently implemented ArcCheck, MapCheck, BeamChecker, IMSure MU Check software. The successful candidate is expected to work toward being ABR board certified.
