Medical Physics: Radiation Oncology, Medical Physics: Radiological Physics - General
The Medical Physics division of the Department of Radiation Oncology at University of Colorado School of Medicine is seeking a postdoctoral researcher in the areas of image guided radiation therapy and adaptive radiation therapy. The successful candidate will work in the areas of tumor motion management, dosimetric modelling, and response assessment for patients receiving Stereotactic Body Radiation Therapy (SBRT).
The project will both involve a mix of experimental data collection and computational data analysis and algorithm development. While this position is primarily R&D, the successful candidate will gain clinical radiotherapy physics experience. Candidates should have a Ph.D. in physics, computer science, electrical engineering, biomedical engineering, applied math, or a related field. Experience in scientific programming and computational methods is required. Experience in algorithm development for image processing, image reconstruction, or mathematical modelling is highly desired. Experience in image guided radiation therapy and radiation therapy physics is preferred, but not required.

The successful candidate will join our team of researchers in the Department of Radiation Oncology studying ablative radiotherapy, organ motion management, advanced CBCT imaging, response/toxicity assessment, biological modelling, particle therapy, and many other topics.
