LANDAUER Medical Physics is currently seeking a Certified Medical Physicist to work as part of our team in Houston, Texas.
Team and Equipment:
5 physicists, 5 dosimetrists and 2 residents, supporting a hospital-based clinic within a multi-campus health system in Houston, Texas. The department is equipped with a Varian Trilogy linear accelerator, a GE Light Speed CT simulator, Varisource iX HDR brachytherapy afterloader, AlignRT patient monitoring systems, Varian Eclipse and Mosaiq. The ideal candidate should have excellent communication and clinical leadership skills and will possess experience supporting brachytherapy and SBRT programs. The candidate should be excited about working within a larger medical physics group and mentoring medical physics residents.
Details of experience, and special skills required
Must possess the level of education normally obtained through the completion of a Master's degree in Medical Radiation Physics, with 7 years of experience in the radiation oncology, or its equivalent.
Must be ABR or ABMP certified.
The candidate must be eligible to hold a license as a medical physicist in the state of Texas.
A high level of analytical ability is required to analyze and interpret complex information regarding patient treatment with ionizing radiation and in the diagnosing and resolution of problems involving sophisticated equipment.
