Medical Physics: Radiation Oncology, Medical Physics: Radiation Oncology Dosimetry
Performs radiation measurements on the linear accelerators and radioactive sources, analyzes the data, verifies dosimetry calculations done by the therapists and dosimetrists, develops patient treatment plans for patients of all ages, assists in radiation treatment and radiation safety, and performs diagnostic quality assurance procedures. Works effectively with technologists and physicians. Provides services to patients and families of all age groups, neonate through geriatric.
Minimum of an MS. in Physics or Medical Physics. Ph.D. in Medical Physics preferred. CAMPEP accredited residency preferred. Masters-Physics-Required
Graduate study should include lecture and laboratory in radiation oncology physics, imaging physics, and radiation safety.
Certifications, Licenses and Registrations:
Achieve board certification within 3 years of hire.
