GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES: Medical Physicist/Radiation Imaging Director is the lead management position for the Radiation Oncology Department. This position is responsible for the overall operational efficiency, quality, and financial performance of the Radiation Department. In addition to the managerial responsibilities, this position requires a Medical Physicist with knowledge of the overall characteristics and clinical elements of radiation oncology treatments, equipment, and monthly QA
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Utah licensed medical physicist.
Must be able to work independent of supervision yet consult with Radiation Oncologists as required.
Must have working knowledge of radiation safety and current rules and regulations of the Nuclear Regulatory Commission.
Be proficient in 2-D, 3-D, and IMRT treatment planning.
Ability to work as a team-player demonstrating interpersonal relationship skills with patients, health professionals, and the public.
Must use excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Show compassion and concern for the special needs of the oncology patients.
